Babysitting services aren’t available on Arcadia or Aurora. We offer Night Nursery and children’s clubs on our family-friendly ships Arvia, Azura, Britannia, Iona and Ventura.

Are babysitting services available on board?

Our highest safety standards remain in place.

Are there any changes to safety procedures?

There are no special restrictions on cabin types for families. We have Inside cabins, Sea view cabins, Balcony cabins and Suites available to families of three or four. Our usual terms and conditions apply when booking children into a cabin.

Are there any restrictions on cabin types for families (for example, a minimum age for certain cabin types)?

On selected Aurora and Arcadia holidays, guests can book infants from six months of age.
Children on Arcadia’s 14-night holiday to Norway and Iceland (cruises J709 and J809) must be at least 12 months old.

Can I book children of any age on these selected holidays? 

Aurora and Arcadia will continue to offer holidays exclusively for adults the majority of the time. We're just opening up a small selection of holidays for all ages to allow families to holiday together (during specific times of the year) on our beautiful Aurora and Arcadia.

Do you have any plans to make Aurora and Arcadia family friendly all the time moving forward? 

At the moment, selected cruises for all ages can’t be booked online for Arcadia or Aurora.&nbsp;
To book, you can do so online, by contacting our customer contact centre team on 0344 338 8003 (local call charges apply) or by speaking to your travel agent.
Our team will be happy to assist you with availability, pricing and any other questions you may have.

How do I book a cruise for all ages on Aurora or Arcadia?

There will be a mix of age appropriate activities designed to bring families and adults together. Including creative sessions with Creative Waves guest entertainers suitable for all ages, movies in our cinema, Silent Discos and Sailaway parties. We also have Sports Courts, swimming pool, table tennis, shuffleboard and deck quoits. In the evening there will be a range of entertainment suitable for guests of all ages with west-end style theatre shows, captivating vocalists and music sets from our band PULSE.
We will also have a range of activities that you would expect to see on Aurora and Arcadia such as Bingo, quizzes, ballroom dancing, card games, guest and port speakers.&nbsp;

What holidays are cruises for all ages on Aurora?

Cruises for all ages are selected sailings on Aurora and Arcadia, where younger guests under 18-years-old are welcomed on board with their families. While these ships don’t feature children’s clubs, they have a smaller, more intimate feel, combined with inspiring destinations and thoughtfully designed on-board experiences – including evening entertainment, daytime activities and dining. These cruises create a calmer, more relaxed holiday for everyone to enjoy together, and in their own way.

What is a cruise for all ages?

On selected sailings on board Aurora and Arcadia, cruises for all ages welcome younger guests under 18 to travel alongside their families. At other times of the year, these ships offer sailings that are exclusively for adults. While Aurora and Arcadia don’t feature children’s clubs, their smaller, more intimate feel – combined with inspiring destinations and thoughtfully designed on-board experiences – creates a relaxed, easy-going holiday for guests of all ages to enjoy together. Across the wider P&amp;O Cruises fleet, five family-friendly ships offer holidays all year round, with dedicated, age-appropriate children’s clubs for guests aged 2–17, alongside entertainment, activities and dining designed with families in mind.

What is the difference between a cruise for all ages and a cruise on your family-friendly ships?

What ships offer holidays that are exclusively for adults and cruises for all ages?

Cruises for all ages on Aurora and Arcadia will not be offering children’s clubs, but you can enjoy a variety of activities, entertainment and games together that are suitable for all ages on board.
We offer children’s clubs on our family-friendly ships Arvia, Azura, Britannia, Iona and Ventura.

Will children’s clubs be available on Arcadia & Aurora?

There will not be a specific Children’s Tea dining time in the buffet. There will be family favourites suitable for all ages available throughout the day at the buffet.

Will Children’s Tea in the buffet be available?	

Yes, we offer a range of hand-picked family-friendly shore experiences designed to make exploring exciting for every age. We make it easy for parents and fun for kids where children aged 12 and under pay half the adult ticket price for shore experiences, and under-2s go free (terms and conditions apply)

Will the childrens offer still apply for Arcadia and Aurora for shorex? Under 12s half price and under 2s free?

You can look forward to Arcadia and Aurora’s usual variety of spectacular entertainment on board. Our entertainment programme will cater all ages including families, whilst maintaining all the best parts of a P&amp;O Cruises holiday on Aurora and Arcadia.
Family activities will take place in specific locations whilst our adult guests can join in and experience our usual programme including ballroom dancing, bingo, quizzes, Creative Waves as well as fantastic theatre shows.
For a more adult environment there will be an adult-only pool on Aurora and adult only deck space to relax and enjoy looking out to sea on Arcadia, as well as The Crow’s Nest after 6pm.&nbsp;

Will the entertainment change because of welcoming children on board?	

A guest aged 17 years old or under will receive a complimentary Refresh drinks package when a qualifying adult in the same cabin has purchased a Classic or Deluxe drinks package. *
* Please note, if the second guest on your booking is aged 17 or under, they will then be charged for the Classic drinks package but receive the Refresh drinks package once on board. This only applies when purchasing a package at point of making your cruise booking. When purchasing via My P&amp;O Cruises all guests under 17 years will receive a complimentary Refresh package, regardless of how many adults are on the booking

Will the kids drinks package offer still apply on Arcadia and Aurora? Free refresh package if guests purchase a classic or deluxe package

The spa and wellness areas will continue to offer all the relaxation you could ask for. On these selected holidays, our usual terms and conditions apply. You must be at least 18 years of age at the time of embarkation to make a prepaid spa booking via My P&amp;O Cruises. Under 18s are welcome to be pampered in the salon with treatments like haircuts or mini manicures on most cruises for all ages holidays and these can be booked on board by visiting the spa. All under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Will the spa or wellness areas have any changes in access or offerings?

We take care to make sure younger guests are well supported on board. Children’s and infant life-saving equipment is available, along with baby-changing facilities in designated public areas.
Families can request thoughtful essentials such as bottle warmers, sterilisers, cots and bed guards to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Hipp Organic baby food jars (6+ months and 7+ months only) are available for babies. Please contact us to request this option at least 12 weeks before the start of your holiday.
Alongside this, dedicated adult-only spaces provide a quieter retreat for those looking to relax and unwind

Will there be any changes to Arcadia and Aurora’s on-board facilities and what infant equipment can you provide?   

You can look forward to the same dress codes and variety of dining options during your holiday as usual.

Will there be any changes to dress codes or dining during cruises tor all ages?

No, getting on and off your ship will be the same as always.

Will there be any changes to embarkation/disembarkation for families?

Our cruises for all ages are designed for families to make the most of their time together and make lasting memories. There will not be any P&amp;O Cruises supervised events or activities and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate.

Will there be any P&O Cruises supervised activities for children on board?	

We’ll offer a variety of activities suitable for all ages during these selected holidays on Arcadia and Aurora. There will be a mix of age appropriate activities designed to bring families and adults together. Including creative sessions with Creative Waves guest entertainers suitable for all ages, movies in our cinema, Silent Discos and Sailaway parties. We also have Sports Courts, swimming pool, table tennis, shuffleboard and deck quoits. Will there be any special events or entertainment tailored for children or teens?

There will be a wide range of spaces available for everyone on board – from quiet spaces to lively and buzzing events. From 6pm, the Crow’s Nest will be an adult venue allowing guests aged 16 years and over. On Arcadia there will be an adult-only deck area at the aft of the ship on deck 10 and on Aurora the Riviera pool on deck 12 will be adult-only.

Will there be any venues that are exclusively for adults on board Arcadia?

All other holidays currently on sale on Aurora will remain exclusively for adults.

Will there be certain times of the year when I can only book cruises for all ages on Aurora and Arcadia?

Yes – children’s menus will be available in the main dining restaurants and there will be family favourites available in the buffet.

Will there be children’s menus available on Aurora and Arcadia’s cruises for all ages?

There will be no impact to loyalty benefits and cabin allocations remain the same.
When you book a Select Price holiday, you can choose your cabin number at the time of booking (subject to availability).
If you book an Early Saver holiday, you can choose your cabin grade, but your cabin number is allocated by us before you depart for your holiday.
