09/03/2018

Our new winter 2019/20 collection came out just last week and your options are diverse. An intriguing blend of much-loved destinations and little known gems promise plenty of holiday firsts, so where will it be?

Dubai & the Arabian Gulf

Dubai & the Arabian Gulf

You can head east for atmospheric Arabian nights or journey west to the Caribbean for a calypso Christmas. Or why not sail north in search of Norway’s Northern Lights, or set your sights southwards to the culturally rich Canary Islands and Iberia? From Short Breaks to epic World Cruises, our winter 2019/20 collection is packed full of holiday inspiration. You can plot a short pre-Christmas escape away from it all, seek out some sunshine in the colder months or line up an amazing New Year complete with a spectacular firework display over the skyline of Dubai, the Caribbean islands or Madeira.

Here are just some of the highlights in store:

Arcadia’s Western Circumnavigation 2020

Get your camera at the ready! This 99 night World Cruise calls at iconic destinations including San Francisco, Hong Kong, Dubai, Sydney and Shanghai. This epic cruise also takes in lesser known ports such as Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala and Manzanillo, Mexico – a P&O Cruises fleet first that’s a paradise for sun-seekers and nature lovers alike.  You’ve a trio of calls in New Zealand to look forward to too, including Tauranga, Auckland and Bay of Islands.

Discover Dubai & the Arabian Gulf on Oceana

In winter 2019/20, we continue to bring you the amazing landscapes and contrasting cities of the Arabian Gulf including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Muscat. If you’re looking for a two-week holiday with a real wow factor, new for winter 2019/20, are 14 night cruises with calls on the West coast of India - MormugaoMumbai and Cochin. In Mormugao, the glorious beaches of Goa await. Tucked down in the Southern district away from the hippie party strip of the north, and a short drive from the busy port, you'll find a much quieter, more serene scene. Enjoy miles of blissful palm-fringed sand and the gentle lapping of the sparkling sea. Explore picturesque Cochin, where the waterfront with its lines of fishing nets has inspired artists and photographers for decades. In Mumbai, a buzzing city awaits. Visit a Bollywood film set, take your pick of delicious delights at the endless rows of food stalls, or seek out the ornate stone carvings of the Elephanta Caves - a UNESCO site.

Aurora’s Caribbean and America Discovery

Want to flee the coldest months at home but return in time for the first signs of spring? We’ve the perfect solution. Join Aurora for her 55 night ‘Caribbean and American Discovery’. You’ll spend three leisurely weeks sailing the Caribbean before calling at Mexico, where Aurora’s maiden call in Progreso awaits, famed for its 7km wharf - reputedly the longest in the world. Arriving in the USA you can soak up the unique atmosphere of New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz. Miami follows as well as Port Canaveral; with the opportunity to explore the Kennedy Space Center, and Charleston. The final leg of the voyage sees Aurora return to Southampton via Hamilton in Bermuda, and Ponta Delgada in the Azores. What a way to start 2020.

Fly-cruises to the Caribbean with Azura and Britannia

So many of you have told us that you don’t want your Caribbean holiday to end, so we’ve extended our Caribbean season on Azura and Britannia! Bringing you the chance of some blissful winter sun, Britannia visits the ABC islands Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, as well as other favourites such as Antigua and St Lucia.

Azura’s focus is towards the northern Caribbean, travelling up to Grand Turk, as well as delivering the much-loved Eastern Caribbean destinations of St Kitts, Grenada and Tortola. Combining the laid-back lifestyle of the region, sizzling cuisine and the choice that comes with two of our largest ships in the fleet, these holidays offer a feel-good tonic to stave off even the bitterest winter.

Norway & the Northern Lights

Norway & the Northern Lights

Northern Lights cruises with Arcadia, Aurora and Oriana

If you’ve yet to witness the mysterious and colourful Aurora Borealis, why not make 2019 or 2020 the year you head off in search of it? This spectacular phenomenon is most likely to be seen between September and March and we’ve no less than five cruises on offer during this period. There’s another reason to gaze skywards on Aurora’s itineraries: Alta’s amazing titanium-clad Northern Lights Cathedral, while Arcadia and Oriana both offer up a maiden call in Narvik: home to the spectacular Ofoten Railway.

Cruises from Southampton with Ventura

Favour the relaxed start provided by cruising direct from Southampton? Family-friendly Ventura could be your girl. Join her for a leisurely  35 night Caribbean adventure in January or Feb 2020, and if you’re a Peninsular Club member you can enjoy an extra 5% discount. The clement Canary Islands and Iberia peninsula beckon too – along with the glorious feel of the sun on your back. And if time’s of the essence? Pack in the sights of Rotterdam, Bruges and Cherbourg on a 7 night cruise. The highlight? It must surely be the two full days in Rotterdam that Ventura’s call affords you - time to wander the city’s lively waterfront and discover its incredible architecture and nightlife.
