Slendid cruise
Good service and an excellent itinery, will reccomend to friends. Albeit the ship is starting to look a bit tired in places and the ship was very busy we enjoyed our trip

Stop charging for restaurants where you have to see certain entertainment stops the double standards on dress code policy make sure all staff know the procedures

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry to hear that you feel this way. I note your comments regarding the cover charges for select dining venues. Listening to our passengers comments regarding the on board activities and alternative dining options, it was clear that our passengers wished to be offered a better variety. A much more sophisticated choice. Rather than penalize all passengers by increasing fares to cover the costs of these enhancements, we had decided to apply a minimal cover charge to those passengers who actually make use of the particular service or venue. We believe this to be a reasonable approach, but will of course monitor passenger feedback as we do in all areas of our operation.


I am also sorry that you were disappointed that the dress codes were not being adhered to on board. The ship should be following the policy and I am sure you will appreciate the problems we have in this area, which can be difficult to resolve. We go to considerable lengths to emphasize the simple rules, which we hope everyone will respect.


We do hope that despite the above, we will have the opportunity to welcome you back on board again in the near future.

Beware what you choose?
Never ask for an upgrade, as you will be given a cabin that nobody else wants, after choosing a balcony cabin middle deck midship position, we arrived in Barbados to be given an upgrade?, lowest balcony deck, fourth cabin from the front, with a galvanized(metal) not a glass front, when seated all you could see was the sky, also positioned over the side thrusters with docking at nine ports we were woken between 6.30-7.30 every stop by the noise. Tried to move, at the front desk we were not helped at all, it was our fault as we asked for an upgrade.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I am truly sorry to hear of your confusion and disappointment with regards to the opt in for an automatic upgrade. As I am sure you are aware, We do give our passengers a choice at booking stage to either opt in or opt out for an automatic upgrade. By excepting such an upgrade, the upgraded cabin offered could be in any position, location or deck on the ship, and will be in the same grade of cabin or higher. Once the upgrade is automatically made by our booking system, this cannot be amended and the original cabin will be re-sold. Therefore if a passenger has any concerns with this, or particularly wishes to be in a certain location, we would not recommend that they accept an automatic upgrade at the time of booking.


I am sorry that you were not happy with your upgraded cabin and I can see that this was raised whilst you were on board and unfortunately due to the ship being full, we were unable to move you to an alternative. Apologies once again for you disappointment.


We do hope that despite the above, we will have the opportunity to welcome you back on board again in the near future.

Fantastic cruise, great itinerary
From the start of booking to the arrival home P & O did a great job. So easy to book shire excursions in advance and book specialist restaurants before embarking online . They do get snapped up pretty quickly! We booked a Premium flight and it was the best! Champagne on boarding and lovely meals throughout the flight. But the big bonus the weight allowance! Three cases up to 28 kilos each. The Brittania is a lovely ship. You need to explore it and get to know it instead of complaining the lift doesn’t arrive within a minute! There are 3,500 people to move around, be patient. Food was delicious in every restaurant if you try different things every day! However, less British food would suit us. The waiting staff were great, worked very hard indeed. Our balcony cabin was lovely, huge bed and a balcony that allowed you to sit out or watch other ships dock. Entertainment staff were great, found Manager a bit uptight towards certain members of his team. They were good fun and worked hard, especially in Brody’s! Stingray excursion was the best!! Fantastic, a day to remember. Barbados beach, Carlisle Bay was superb, go by taxi. $5 from port. Would highly recommend Brittania for a great cruise.
