Driving up valley roads, you’ll reach picturesque Vizzavona, a village dominated by Mount d’Oro at an altitude of 900m, and bathed in cool mountain air. Stop for a spuntinu (the local word for snack) and enjoy a true taste of Corsica – a mid-morning medley of charcuterie such as smoked ham and sausages, locally made sheep or goats’ milk cheese, cake and wine. Spend some time enjoying the sublime views, before descending the spectacular road to the lively capital, Ajaccio.

Essential information
The drive between Ajaccio and Vizzavona is approximately 1h15 each way, dependent upon traffic conditions. Guests must be able to walk over uneven grounds with a few steps to access the refreshment venue. The tour involves some winding roads and is therefore unsuitable for guests with vertigo.
