Kick back on a panoramic ride before boarding a ferry in Santa Pola to Tabarca Island. This tiny, dazzling island is only two kilometres long and 300 metres wide, yet it’s layered in captivating history. It was a refuge for Barbary pirates, until its fortification by King Charles III of Spain in the 18th century, and today it’s a protected marine reserve. After bopping the sights on a guided wander, you’ll tuck into a mouth-watering seafood lunch. Then spend some free time hanging out and exploring the museums, lighthouse, and more.
