Marvel at the greatest of all archaeological sites and enjoy some free time to potter in the picturesque Plaka below.
The wonders of the awe-inspiring Acropolis were built in the 5th century BC and include the Temple of Athena, the lovely Porch of the Caryatids, and the crowning glory – the Parthenon. When you come back down to earth you’ll have some free time to soak up the Plaka’s village-like atmosphere in the shops and tavernas lining the cobbled streets.
Your leisurely drive between Piraeus and Athens is filled with enticing highlights, including Hadrian’s Arch, Statue of Lord Byron, and the Old Olympic Stadium – built entirely of marble for the first modern Olympic games.

Essential information
This excursion includes travel by coach and walking. Please note that parts of the walking tour at the Acropolis are very slippery; flat, comfortable, and non-slip shoes are highly recommended. The visit to the Acropolis requires climbing approximately 80 steep marble steps and navigating uneven pathways. The Plaka area will also be explored on foot.
Lunch is not included, so please ensure you bring sufficient Euros. The Acropolis is undergoing extensive restoration, with some areas covered in scaffolding. Headsets will be provided for the visit and must be returned at the end of the tour program to avoid additional charges.
Be prepared for traffic, long queues, and waiting times to enter the Acropolis. Large bags, backpacks, and oversized purses are not permitted inside.
