Take an exciting, panoramic journey to explore some of the colonial-era military installations that were used for observation and communications. On your relaxing tour you’ll visit the UNESCO listed Garrison, the 18th- & 19th-century headquarters for British forces; Gun Hill, a former signal station with amazing views of southwestern Barbados; and the lookout at Dover Fort, which has some original cannons and stunning views of over Speightstown. Then spend some free time exploring quaint Speightstown, which was the location of the former Fort Denmark, before riding along the famous Platinum Coast – the landing site of the first settlers.
