Garuda Wisnu Kencana is a 60-hectare cultural park on the hilly southern coast devoted to the Hindu God Vishnu, his mount, Garuda, and the mythical bird that became his companion. Continue to the cliff-top Temple of Uluwatu, one of the most sacred in Bali, and keep an eye out for the local macaque monkeys. Head to Jimbaran Bay, where hundreds of fishing boats take to the water every evening, to appreciate the views and for a delicious seafood lunch.

Essential information

There is approximately 1 hour of walking on this tour over mainly paved ground. Guests are reminded to wear comfortable, flat, walking shoes and to take a hat, sunscreen, local currency and water with them. Uluwatu Temple, with the new regulation from the Temple keeper, guests can only visit the outer side of the temple, only worshiper can go in to the Temple. Heavy traffic can be frequently expected and therefore delays can be experienced.
