Discover two of the things Bonaire is most famous for on a scenic island drive.
Relax as you journey through the lush mangrove preserves towards the beautiful south-east of Bonaire. Your guide will share their local knowledge about the environment and point out tropical flora and fauna along the way. Will this be your first sighting of the dazzling, elegant flamingos?
Stop off at Sorobon Beach – a stunning white-sand bay lapped by turquoise waters. Take a little stroll or perhaps treat yourself to a drink from the bar as you watch windsurfers riding on the sparkling waves, then head to the island’s expansive salt flats. Hear facts about the production of the glistening mineral and look out for flamingos in their protected sanctuary here.
On the drive back to Kralendijk, soak up more sights and pause to peer inside the slave huts that, sadly, once housed the salt industry’s ‘workers’.

The Flamingo’s are in their natural environment and sightings are not guaranteed. This tour involves minimal walking over some rough and gravel ground. Guests must be able to negotiate steps onto and off the coach or minibus. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended. Transportation on Bonaire may sometimes vary.
