Take a short ride to the Rønvikfjellet Viewpoint and set off on a guided hike up Veten Hill. Your goal? The incredible Keiservarden plateau, perched 366 metres above sea level. It’s said that German Emperor Wilhelm II himself once made the climb, and there’s even a plaque dedicated to the Kaiser atop a varden (a stone cairn). Once you reach the top, you’ll be treated to breath-taking views over Bodø and beyond. Soak up the stunning 360-degree panoramas, with sights stretching out to the Lofoten Islands, the Børvasstind mountains and even peaks near to the Swedish border.
