Jekt Trade Museum
Start your adventure with a photo stop at charming Bodin Church, a beautiful Romanesque church dating all the way back to 1240. Then, head just outside the city to the scenic Bodøsjøen area, where stunning views surround the intriguing Norwegian Jekt Trade Museum. At the museum, you’ll get to see the incredible Anna Karoline – the last remaining Nordland jekt. These traditional square-sailed ships played a huge role in Norwegian trade from medieval times to the modern era, transporting goods like herring, dried fish and cod-liver oil down the coast. It’s a captivating look into the history of trade in circumpolar Norway.
