The Presidential Palace, City Hall and Cathedral overlook the lush gardens and splendid fountains of Lima’s picturesque main square.

After a photo stop at Plaza Mayor, visit the Cathedral located where the original building was erected in 1555. The current building was reconstructed by Juan Rehr, a Jesuit Priest, after the 1746 earthquake.Continue with a short walk to the Santo Domingo Convent, constructed in the 16th Century.Containing the remains of three important Peruvian Saints, including San Martin de Porres, the continent's first black saint, Santo Domingo was also the original home of the oldest university in the Americas, San Marcos.

Drivingthrough the city’s chic Miraflores district, spend a short while in the Parque del Amor, a popular park, named after its contemporary statue dedicated to love. From here, enjoy the breathtaking views over the Pacific Ocean.
