Start your experience with a scenic drive up Monte Urpinu, giving you spectacular views across Cagliari. Your destination – Maracalagonis, a farming community situated at the foot of the Fratelli Mountains, where wild boar and rare Sardinian deer roam free. It’s a place where the local people still retain many age-old traditions.

Step into a typical country house and enjoy a warm welcome from the owners. Get comfortable in the atmospheric courtyard, tuck into delightful refreshments of wines and cookies and watch as dancers in traditional Sardinian dress perform lively folk dances for your entertainment. It’s a show full of charm and character.

This excursion operates by coach and on foot. This tour involves 500 feet of walking, on a flat paved street. An awning and trees around the courtyard will provide some shade during the folk dance performance, however you may wish to take sun protection, a hat and insect repellent. In the case of inclement weather the performance will be inside and the performance may not be exclusive to P&O Cruises.
