Stroll through the picturesque grounds of Bois Cotlette, which date back to the late 1700s, and discover how cocoa pods are harvested and transformed into delicious chocolate. Nestled in an active volcanic complex, at an elevation of over 300 metres, the ancient estate is brimming with colonial factory ruins from the coffee, sugar, and cocoa industries. In the Bois Cotlette tasting hall you’ll enjoy a fun pairing of the estate’s real chocolate and Bush Rum. During this unique experience, you’ll learn all about artisan chocolates, connoisseur terminology, tasting techniques, and more.
Essential information
Approximately 1¾ hours are spent at the Bois Cotlette Estate. There is some uneven terrain and cobblestones on the estate. In certain areas of the estate there is ongoing archaeological work being carried out – in these areas please keep to the marked paths. Videoing is not permitted on the estate.
