Relax and ride one of the most scenic railways in the world.
Depart from Flåm station and soak up the vistas of craggy cliff faces, emerald hillsides and shimmering lakes as you travel along the famous track – which climbs 2,800 feet into the mountains over a distance of just 12.5 miles. You’ll enjoy so many photo opportunities as the train slows at key sections of the journey and at the Kjosfossen waterfall you’ll have the chance to hop off and watch the raging waters plunge 300 feet into the rocks below.
When the train reaches the highest of the four levels which allow it to ascend such steep terrain, you’ll be able to gaze down at the three lower levels. And when you arrive at the loftiest station, Mydral, it’ll be time to take in all those views again as you descend back down to the valley floor.
