Depart the pier for the short drive from idyllic Flåm to Gudvangen. En route, pass through two long tunnels, one of which is more than six miles (about 9.6 kilometres) in length, and take in splendid views of the Aurlandsfjord. Gudvangen is an important ferry junction located on the other side of the mountains, and situated at the head of the spectacular Nærøyfjord, an UNESCO World Heritage Site and branch of the mighty Sognefjord. Upon arrival in Gudvangen, a short photo stop is made to marvel at your surrounds.
Next, re-board your coach and continue up the Nærøy Valley. Drive along the Salmon River, pass by beautiful Oppheim Lake, thand en through woodlands and green farmland before approaching the spectacular Tvinde Waterfall. Upon arrival, take a short stroll amidst the fresh air for a closer look at the falls, which cascade down the mountainside.
Continue by coach to Voss, where you board the brand-new gondola taking you up to a height of 820m above sea level. The ride takes less than 10 minutes. Enjoy time at leisure to capture breathtaking panoramic views, and perhaps go for a small walk. Hereafter coffee/tea and Norwegian waffles will await you in the restaurant at the top of the mountain.
After heading down by gondola, enjoy the scenic drive back towards Flåm.

This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 875 yards (about 800 meters), at times over uneven, gravel, and grassy surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. Each Gondola has a capacity of 34 passengers. All views are weather-dependent, and the gondola can close at short notice. The order of this itinerary may vary. The journey on this tour involves tunnels. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and bring sun protection and a waterproof jacket or coat from the ship. Due to the local climate, most of the coaches are air-cooled. In the event of strong winds, the Gondola may close at short notice. In this situation, the tour will still go ahead with the remaining tour itinerary, and a refund for the Gondola entrance only will be applied.
