Relax on a scenic drive to the heart of Basse-Terre, passing sugarcane fields and picturesque, rolling landscapes. Arriving at the Domaine de Valombreuse botanical gardens, you’ll be immersed in a tropical wonderland. Stroll through this idyllic haven and admire 300 species of vibrant plants while listening to the song of exotic birds. Keep an eye out for the likes of the native Guadeloupe woodpecker and the plumbeous warbler. A short walk through the rainforest will take you to the beautiful Cascade aux Ecrevisses waterfall in the Guadeloupe National Park.
When it’s time to wet your whistle, head to the rustic Maroon distillery. Here, you'll discover how their finest rum is made, and (most importantly!) taste the delicious drink.

This tour involves walking and standing, varying from 1 hour at the botanical gardens, 30 minutes at Cascades des Ecrevisses and 40 minutes at Distillerie Maroon. Comfortable flat walking shoes are recommended. This tour itinerary may operate in reverse. Guests must be over 18 to taste the Rum.
