Explore a sanctuary of local nature at Guadeloupe’s tropical zoo.

Wander along the paths that wind through lush vegetation and spot Caribbean animals scampering about. Don’t be surprised to see racoons, the charming creatures whom this facility was originally created to protect before its conservation remit expanded to include various other species. In different (enclosed) areas you’ll find jaguars, alligators and snakes, among many more types of fauna.

For a bird’s eye view, traverse the walkways suspended in the forest canopy, 50 feet off the ground. Up here, you’ll enjoy a spectacular vista which includes Pigeon Island, the tiny islet made famous by Jacques Cousteau. Feeling thirsty? Sip a refreshing fruit punch before you head to the beautiful Cascade aux Ecrevisses waterfall in the Guadeloupe National Park.
