Enjoy the scenic drive by Flakstad Bay and visit the charming little Flakstad Church, an 18th century gem painted in red and white.
In the old fishing hamlet of Sund, explore the local museum to look closely at the works of the area’s craftsmen and examine the tools of their trades, including boats and lovingly preserved vintage engines.
Head to Reine to find out why this tiny place (under 400 inhabitants) has a reputation as one of Norway’s most beautiful villages. Admire the wooden fishermen's dwellings dotted along the shoreline and marvel at the stark granite peaks rising from the Reinefjord. Soak up the intriguing works by Norwegian artists in the Reine Centre of Arts and Culture and perhaps browse the gift shop for a souvenir.
