Let us take you to picturesque Porvoo, where you’re free to explore at your own pace. As Finland’s 2nd oldest town and a historic trading centre, Porvoo will intrigue you at every turn.
As you wander along the winding lanes and admire the colourful wooden buildings, it’s easy to see why it’s a long-time favourite with poets and artists. For a great photo opportunity, head to the Old Bridge, where you can capture Porvoo’s iconic red, waterfront storehouses.Another landmark is the 15th century Cathedral at the top of town. You can also discover one of Finland’s oldest Town Halls (now the museum) – dating back to 1764, and Simolin House - Finland’s oldest department store which was opened in 1854 and is today a range of smaller handicraft stores.There are also plenty of handicraft shops and cafés to tempt you. You’ll have just over 2 hours in Porvoo, before returning to Helsinki via Senate Square. Enjoy some free time at Senate Square to take photos, before returning to the pier.
