Enjoy a relaxing drive through lovely landscapes to Beddgelert, where you’ll have some free time to explore on your own, or grab some lunch. Afterwards, head to Beddgelert station and hop on the Welsh Highland Railway. Then sit back and soak up the amazing scenery filled with rugged mountains, green valleys and cascading waterfalls. Running through Snowdonia National Park, this historical narrow-gauge heritage railway, zig-zags dramatically up the steep hillside from Beddgelert, to almost 200 metres above sea level, in the foothills of Snowdon. When you reach Caernarfon, below the castle walls, you’ll disembark and drive back to Holyhead.

Essential information
There are steps to board coach and train. Refreshments will be available on the train for the guests to purchase at their own expense. This tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or scooters.
The terrain on this tour is mostly flat with some uneven surfaces in areas. the train is partially accessible for guests with mobility issues however there are narrow corridors and toilets. A step or ramp can be provided to get on the train but train staff cannot physically assist on and off train. At Beddgelert there is a long tarmac ‘zig-zag’ sloping path down to car park, which is relatively steep.
