The shocking history of the building is laid bare on a chilling and heart-wrenching tour of the prison cells and torture chambers in the basement, recreated to resemble their former state in the war.
At the Kristiansand Cannon Museum, see the large battery cannon built by the Germans to defend the coastline – the only complete 380mm calibre Kruppcannon still surviving.

Essential information
The Gestapo headquarters are located down several flights of stairs, however there is a lift available. There is uneven terrain at the Cannon Museum and an incline to reach the top of the cannon and one of the emplacements.
