Experience Details*
Visit Lanzarote’s most famous landmark and taste local wine at a vineyard in the most unlikely setting.
Gaze out at the lunar landscape as you drive into Timanfaya National Park, AKA Fire Mountain, where barren lava cinders and violet volcano cones are as haunting as they are enchanting. Soak up the views and watch in awe as your guide performs ‘experiments’ to demonstrate the active, powerful forces beneath the earth’s crust.
You might be surprised to find that vineyards dot this region, with vines protected by semi-circular stone walls. Call in at a local bodega to try the wine made here and, on the journey back to your ship, stop off at an aloe vera centre to see how the healing plant is harvested.
