La Rochelle in a Nutshell

At the entrance to the Old Harbour district, which boasts two amazing towers, you’ll wander through the atmospheric, winding lanes of the Old Town that are paved with ancient stone slabs and dotted with vaulted passages. Then take a short ride to stunning Château de la Peraudière, home of Normandin-Mercier Cognac, which was established in 1872. After a short tour you’ll sample two of the region’s traditional products – Cognac and the Pineau des Charentes aperitif.
