Travel along the grand Avenida de la Marina and admire the typical Galician 19th-century buildings with their high, glass-paned balconies that give the Crystal City its name. Enjoy views of the Archaeological Museum and the San Carlos Gardens where you’ll find the tomb of Sir John Moore. Take in the Domus Museum of Mankind, the strikingly modern Millenium Monument and beaches of Orzan and Riazor before heading to the Tower of Hercules – Europe's oldest working lighthouse, originally built in the 2nd century.
