Wander around the Square of Miracles and behold one of Italy’s most famous landmarks – the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Gaze up at the captivating structure and the ornate cathedral it forms part of, and explore the buzzing area nearby which teems with shops, cafés, souvenir stalls and restaurants.
In the shadow of the majestic, eponymous basilica, Santa Croce Square is the ideal place to begin your afternoon in Florence. From here you could head off to visit the city’s gigantic cathedral, find the numerous landmarks in the famous Piazza della Signoria, or stroll across the Ponte Vecchio Bridge that spans the River Arno. Guests are advised when booking this experience 1 adult ticket will include 1 wheelchair accessible place and 1 companion seat. This tour can only accommodate manual wheelchairs with a maximum weight of 180kg (guest and wheelchair combined), maximum length of 1200mm and a maximum width of 700mm. For guests own health and safety, regrettably mobility scooters cannot be accommodated on accessible vehicles. There is a 15 minute walk to and from the parking area to the Field of Miracles. An inside visit to the tower is not possible due to time restraints. The transfer to Florence takes around 1½ hours. Florence is pedestrianised with cobbled streets. Traffic is not permitted and the coach drop-off point is a 15 minute walk to and from the city centre. The level of walking is at guests’ discretion. Flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please dress appropriately when entering churches. The coaches cannot be held for latecomers and a return taxi to Livorno costs around £130. The order of this tour may vary. This excursion is non-guided and exclusive of lunch and entrance fees. Some shops may be closed on Sundays and guests are asked to bear in mind the general shop opening times in Italy.
