Experience Details*
Hop between three breathtaking villages on the stunning Italian Riviera and spend a little time exploring each at your own pace.
Relax on the scenic drive to Manarola, one of the five picturesque settlements of Cinque Terre that cling to the rugged coastline. Admire the defensive walls of the ancient bastion and perhaps take a stroll to the 14th century Gothic Baroque Church of San Lorenzo.
Soak up the spellbinding views as you cruise by boat to the beautiful harbour of Vernazza. Wander through the narrow streets of the town which is shaped like an amphitheatre and backdropped by emerald hills, then cruise on to Monterosso where colourful houses tumble down the cliffs to the shore.
Will you treat yourself to a seafood lunch in a local restaurant, stretch out on the soft sands of the town’s beach, or take a refreshing dip in the Ligurian sea? Perhaps you’ll do all three?

Essential information
Journey time to the Cinque Terre from Livorno is approximately 1½ hours each way.
Please note that the transport used in this excursion is public transport and not exclusive to P&O. During summer and busy periods the public transport and the towns can be very busy. Due to the boat being iron guests will need to sit with the guide on the boat in order to hear the commentary, as the iron interferes with the signal of the headsets. If you choose to sit in another area of the boat you will not be able to hear the commentary.
This tour involves extensive walking, which includes some uneven ground. There are around 100 steps to negotiate throughout the tour. Flat, non-slip walking shoes are essential. Guests are advised to take sun protection, a bottle of water and Euros for purchases.
In the event of poor sea conditions, the boat may be replaced by a train and instead of Portovenere guests will visit Riomaggiore village. Please note, there is a 20-minute walking distance from the port to the train.
