Siena, San Gimignano & Farmhouse Lunch

Take a guided stroll through lovely Siena, uncover the treasures of hilltop San Gimignano and savour an authentic Italian lunch.   

Siena boasts an enchanting medieval atmosphere, which you are sure to discover on your guided walk. You’ll pass the stunning 13th and 14th-century architecture in the central Piazza del Campo, and visit the Basilica of San Domenico, the final resting place of Saint Catherine’s preserved head. You’ll also see the Piazza del Duomo’s magnificent black and white marble cathedral, and the 300-foot-tall Torre del Mangia bell-tower. Then you’ll have some free time to explore on your own. 

On the outskirts of town, you’ll visit a local winery and olive oil producer, where you’ll be invited to a typical Italian lunch in their rustic farmhouse. You’ll dine on fresh food sourced from their own and neighbouring farms, accompanied by their own delicious wines.

After lunch you’ll have an opportunity to explore the beautiful churches, palaces and shops of picturesque San Gimignano. Highlights include the Piazza della Cisterna, the Devil's Tower, the 11th-century cathedral, and the simple Sant'Agostino Church with its Rococo interior by Vanvitelli.
