With its walkway pinned along the steep walls of the El Chorro gorge and crossing the beautiful Gaitanes Ravine, this trail was once known as 'one of the world's scariest hiking routes'. Having since been refurbished, it now provides a safe and thrilling way to get active and appreciate the idyllic Andalusian countryside.
Covering five miles during approximately three hours’ walking, you’ll pause frequently to hear about the flora and fauna of the gorge. An experienced guide will lead the way as you move through the shadows of towering rock faces and, if you dare, gaze down at the floor of the ravine – hundreds of feet below.
You’ll enjoy a real sense of achievement as you slip off your safety gear at the finish. And what better way to reflect on the experience than by relaxing at a bar to enjoy a refreshment?
