Valletta on Foot and 5D Cinema

Setting off from the pier on foot, you’ll follow your guide for a short walk to the Valletta Elevator. The elevator was rebuilt as part of a 2 million pound project and sits on the same site as the original elevator that operated between 1905 and 1973. A wooden direction sign survived and reads, ‘The Barrakka lift, the quickest way into the city’.
The elevator will take you straight up into the Upper Barrakka Gardens, where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the lovely views of the Grand Harbour. Your walking tour will continue into the heart of Valletta, where your guide will bring to life the history of Malta’s charming capital.
Your next stop will be the ‘Malta 5D Show’, Malta’s new generation attraction. The 5D cinema film offers the perfect introduction to Malta in a fun and interesting way. The seat movements, water spray and soft air blast effects complement this audio visual experience.
Afterwards, you can enjoy around 1 hour of free time in Valletta, before re-joining your guide for the walk back to the ship.
