9/11 Memorial and Museum
A drive along the west side of Manhattan will take you the World Trade Centre area. Upon arrival, follow your guide to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, where you’ll have around 2 hours to explore independently. The memorial and museum are poignant reminders of the tragic events that took place on September 11th 2001.
The museum houses a growing collection of images, audio and video tapes, personal effects, structural remnants and expressions of tribute and remembrance and recorded testimonies. Each exhibit offers a touching insight into the shocking events.
At the end of your visit, you’ll meet with your guide and walk across to the 9/11 Memorial located next to the museum. View the water features that sit within the original footprints of the Twin Towers, and where the names of all those who lives were sadly lost are displayed. Here, around 1 hour will be given to reflect on the scale of the tragedy.
On the return drive, you can sit back and admire more of New York, as you head back to the pier.
