Sit back and take in the charming scenes of Porto, as you travel to one of the city’s traditional port wine cellars. Leaving Leixões Port and heading to Gaia quay, you’ll ride along the pretty seaside promenade, which extends towards the mouth of the Douro River.
You’ll get stunning views of the Dom Luís I Bridge and the colourful, terraced houses that wind their way through the attractive neighbourhood of Ribeira, when you arrive at the wine cellar. Inside, you’ll discover the fascinating history of port wine production and get a chance to sample the famous local tipple.
Afterwards, it’s another scenic ride towards the city centre filled with more highlights. Sites include the striking monumental tower of Clérigos Church, the superb House of Music concert hall, and the huge, peaceful haven of Porto City Park.
