Sit back and relax as your journey through Oslo takes you past the 13th-century Akershus Fortress, which is part museum and part military area. You’ll see the imposing City Hall, which hosts the annual Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, and pass the eclectic Parliament of Norway building. Then travelling down Karl Johan Street, you’ll head towards the prestigious University of Oslo.

Passing the grand Royal Palace, you’ll see the gates of the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park. Then you’ll climb high above the city, up Holmenkollen Hill, which is the cradle of ski jumping and the site of the 1952 Olympic ski jumping competition. You’ll make a photo stop here for remarkable vistas of the city and the islands in Oslofjord.

Returning to the town centre, you’ll pass the many shops of busy Bogstad-veien, and continue along the Royal Park, past the House of Artists. In Stortorget, the big market square, you’ll find the Dutch-baroque Oslo Cathedral, which was built in 1697
