Your first stop will be the Colosseum (exterior visit only), where your guide will reveal stories of the chaotic combat and games that once entertained crowds of 55,000 here. Picture the hustle and bustle of busy food stalls as you stroll by the old market town before follow your guide to the Roman Forum (outside view) to see the remains of the Senate buildings.
Enjoy a delicious, traditional lunch of pizza and gelato at a restaurant in Piazza Navona, then spend free time exploring at your own pace. One of the largest and prettiest squares in the city, it’s always brimming with atmosphere.

Essential information
This excursion will operate by coach and on foot. Itinerary may run in reverse order. A comfort stop will be made en-route as toilet facilities upon arrival at the Colosseum are very limited. After your free time, please take note of the return meeting point and time. Please note that due to the Jubilee taking place in 2025 there is extensive building and restoration work happening throughout the city of Rome including scaffolding and cranes. Please note the visits at the Colosseum and Roman Forum are exterior visits only.
