After a short transfer you'll board your motor launch and enjoy a 45 minute cruise towards Amalfi.En route you’ll be able to admire the Dolomite cliffs, which have been sculpted by nature into fantastic shapes and tower perpendicularly out of the sea.
The picturesque seaside resort of Amalfi lies at the mouth of a deep gorge as it is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Italy. Amalfi played an important role in the Middle Ages as it was part of the 4 Maritime Republics that included Venice, Genoa and Pisa.
You’ll have free time to take photos and stroll along the narrow streets to the Piazza del Duomo. From this square, a flight of 60 or more steps leads to the impressive Cathedral of St Andrew. The interior of the church dates as far back as the 13th century with the highlight of the Cathedral being the 11th century bronze doors from Constantinople.
Explore the village and shop for handcrafted majolica, a soft eathernware ceramic which has been a typical Amalfi Coast souvenir since the Middle Ages.

Essential information

This excursion will operate by coach, motor launch and on foot. guests must be able to walk approximately 100 metres over even surfaces with 5 to 10 steps and must to be able to embark and debark the motor launch. The motor launch has both interior and exterior seating. The streets of Amalfi are cobbled and inclined. Flat, comfortable shoes are advisable. guests wishing to enter the Cathedral of St Andrew independently must ascend approximately 60 or more very steep steps.
