During your panoramic drive, gaze out at Mount Vesuvius – the active volcano which looms 15 miles south east of Naples, dominating the landscape. Arriving at Pompeii, your escort will offer advice on key landmarks to visit before you explore the once-flourishing town at your own pace. Entrance to Pompeii and a guide is not included.
Marvel at the vibrant mosaics, intricate frescoes, the grand theatre and the fallen statues. Look closely and you’ll find relics of daily life – such as jars on the counter in the wine shop – and the poignant ‘plastered’ bodies of people who died here.

Essential information
Entrance ticket to Pompeii and a guide is not included. A substantial amount of walking is required at the site of Pompeii and surfaces are uneven and cobbled. Flat, comfortable walking shoes are essential. Pushchairs and wheelchairs are not recommended at Pompeii. Toilet facilities are limited. If entering the site, Children under 18 are required to show proof of age when purchasing tickets. Queues may be experienced. Please make note of the meeting time and place for the return journey. The coach cannot be held for latecomers. For security reasons, it is forbidden to enter the excavations with big bags or backpacks and as lockers are not available, it is recommended to leave them the coach.
