Following a drive from the pier, you’ll arrive in the lovely resort of Rethymnon, where you’ll have around 2-2½ hours of free time to spend as you please.
Rethymnon is one of the best preserved towns in Greece and the 3rd largest in Crete. The Venetian fortifications contrast harmoniously with Orthodox and Catholic churches, mosques, Venetian architecture and arches. The cobblestoned paths are reminiscent of the town’s historic past and bring a magical feel. Perhaps take a stroll along the lovely Venetian harbour, where you can purchase a coffee and watch the world go by or spend some time browsing the many shops.
At the end of your visit, you’ll meet at the designated time and place for the return drive to Souda Bay.
