Enjoy a captivating visit to the Iyanola Apiculture Collective, which supports beekeepers across the Caribbean. You’ll get a brief history on beekeeping in St Lucia, and hear a bunch of fun facts, like: bees are the top pollinators in the world – pollinating 35% of global food production, and they beat their wings 11,400 times per minute! Watch the beekeeper, in full protective wear, interacting with the bees in the hive from a safe observation room, and sample exotic Black Mangrove honey from their world-renowned Ramsar site. You’ll even have a chance to make your own candle from natural beeswax.
