Explore two exceptional ancient cities – Trogir and Split – both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, in a lift-equipped wheelchair accessible vehicle.
Sit back and enjoy the scenic ride to the town of Trogir, which is nestled on a tiny island between the Croatian mainland and the larger island of Ciovo. Connected by bridges, the charming, well-preserved stone town was founded in the 3rd century BC, and is known for its captivating blend of romanesque, renaissance and baroque architecture.
As you explore Trogir’s narrow streets, past the houses, churches and monasteries, you’ll see the intact medieval city walls and the grand Cathedral of Saint Lawrence. Keep an eye out for the Venetian-gothic window on Cipiko Palace.
Then you’ll return to Split to explore Diocletian's Palace, one of Europe’s best-preserved Roman palaces. Boasting a walled town brimming with shops, restaurants and courtyards, you’ll also visit the Cathedral of St Dominus, within the complex. Built in 305 AD, as Diocletian’s mausoleum, it is the world’s oldest Catholic cathedral in use, in its original structure, and it houses an impressive collection of jewelled artifacts and saints’ relics.
