Baker’s Paradise and Waffles

Welcome to Bakers’ Paradise – a place of heavenly scenery and divine Norwegian waffles. After a photo stop at the 3 Giant Swords monument, which commemorates Viking King Hårfagre’s victory at the Battle of Hafrsfjord, you’ll arrive at tiny Lauvvik and the idyllic hideaway called the Bakers’ Paradise.  Lying at the mouth of Lysefjord, this 19th century farm was taken over by the Bakers' Union in the 1920s and converted into their holiday destination. Today, they make the most delicious fresh-baked waffles. Served with sour cream and jam, and coffee or tea, you’ll savour every bite with fantastic fjord views. You’ll also have some free time to admire the lovely setting and restored old house, and to try typical Norwegian activities like fishing or throwing horseshoes.
