Drive out to the Ullandhaug viewpoint for magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding area and the island-dotted fjord in the distance. Stop nearby to photograph the striking monument to the 872 battle of Hafrsfjord, where three 33-foot-tall bronze swords plunge into rocks on the coastline.
Your next stop will be the Viking House. This is an immersive VR experience sitting in a replica Viking ship, and experiencing the Viking Ages in Virtual Reality.
Travelling back to Stavanger, stop at Gamle Stavanger (the old town) and follow your guide on a stroll through the picturesque cobbled lanes. Admire the lovingly preserved wooden houses painted in vibrant colours as you hear stories of ancient times.
