Soak up the sights on a scenic island drive that takes you to the famous French capital, Marigot. With time to spend at your leisure, feel free to stroll around the harbour and watch the luxury yachts bob on the azure water. Feeling thirsty? Duck into a pavement café and buy a coffee, or perhaps treat yourself to a snack from a bistro. If you’re in the mood for shopping, you’ll find designer brands in the chic boutiques, while the open-air market (when open) is perfect for gifts and souvenirs.
Have your camera at the ready as you drive back into Dutch territory. Stopping at the Cole Bay lookout, you’ll take in mesmerising vistas encompassing the turquoise water of Simpson Bay Lagoon and the white shores of Cole Bay. From up here, you can also survey both sides of St Maarten and the neighbouring paradise island of Anguilla.

Essential information
This tour involves limited walking, however guests must be able to negotiate steps onto and off the bus. Walking in Marigot is at guests’ discretion. Please be advised that shops in Marigot will be closed on Sunday calls. Some shops may also close during the afternoon siesta. Public toilet facilities are limited in Marigot, however local cafés and restaurants will allow use of their facilities upon purchase. Euro and US Dollar currency are accepted for purchases. guests who choose to remain in Philipsburg at the end of the tour will be responsible for making their own way back to the ship.
