Once in the heart of the Teide National Park, you’ll drive up to Mount Teide’s lower cable car station where, 7700 feet above sea level, you can pause to admire the incredible views. Essential information
The cable car company prohibit pregnant women, children under the age of 3 and those with heart conditions/cardiovascular or neurological disease because of the risks posed to their health by the altitude.
The cable car company also prohibit people with physical disability or motor impairment to use the Cable Car, due to the technical conditions that it cannot be guaranteed that the guests can be safely evacuated in the time required by the National Park regulations. Guests who have symptoms of altitude sickness, nausea, a temperature, physical pain or illness are also prohibited to use the cable car.
Children under 16 years old are not permitted entry to the cable car unless accompanied by adults
The Cable car will deny entry when not wearing appropriate footwear it is prohibited, for safety reasons, to enter wearing flip-flops, backless shoes, high heels/wedges, or open shoes with smooth soles. Guest must wear specifically athletic or hiking shoes.
Please take a warm jacket or jumper as the temperatures can be cooler at the top of the peak. From October to April the temperatures can reach below freezing. Guests also need to wear flat, closed toe shoes.
It is forbidden to remove any stones or plants from the National Park. This excursion will travel up some mountain roads to approximately seven thousand feet above sea level and eventually to 11600 feet with the cable car.
This tour is subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled at short notice. If the cable car closes due to weather conditions then your tour will be replaced by TCI035 Mount Teide National Park. The time spent at the top of the peak is approximately 30 minutes which may vary depending on weather conditions on the day. In inclement weather, the access to Mount Teide may close at short notice. In which case an alternative route will be taken.
Due to its popularity, queuing may be experienced at the cable car.
