Explore the highlights of the Gateway to the Arctic, on this leisurely panoramic drive.
Sit back and settle in for a panoramic journey of discovery in the ‘Capital of the North’. As you ride towards the centre of town, you’ll discover a comfortable blend of old wooden houses and striking modern architecture.
You’ll pass Tromsø Church, one of the largest wooden churches in the north, and riding around this forest-clad island, you’ll reach the 1,220-metre-long Sandnessund Bridge. This will take you to Tromsø’s most modern suburb, Kvaløya (Whale Island), which boasts a striking backdrop of impressive mountain peaks.
As you return to Troms Island, you’ll see the world’s northernmost university, the Northern Lights Planetarium, and the beautiful Tromsdalen Parish Church, known as the Arctic Cathedral.
During your journey keep your eyes peeled for the great variety of colourful gardens you’ll pass, it’s always surprising at this northerly latitude.

For guests own health and safety, regrettably mobility scooters cannot be accommodated on accessible vehicles. The coach can only accommodate manual and electric wheelchairs with a maximum weight of 180kg (guest and wheelchair combined), maximum length of 1200mm and a maximum width of 700mm. Please note that during the winter this tour might be run in the dark due to short daylight hours in Norway. Due to Norwegian law wheelchairs must have neck support to be permitted boarding the coach.
