Set sail on a motor cruiser through the charming Gothenburg Archipelago, and discover an idyllic haven of more than 20 islands, just off Sweden’s west coast.
Sit back with a hot drink and pastry in hand, as you sail into the beautiful Gothenburg Archipelago. During this journey of endless photogenic scenery, your informative, local guide will enlighten you with information about the places and sights you’ll see.
Sailing out of Gothenburg Harbour, you’ll pass the imposing Älvsborgs fortress, then head to the well-known islands of Vrångö, Styrsö and Brännö. Boasting bright-red houses and rugged, rocky coastlines, these incredibly picturesque islands are typical of the West Coast.
Weather permitting, you’ll cruise by Vinga Island with its famous 19th-century lighthouse, and nearby, if you’re lucky, you’ll spot the resident colony of seals sunning themselves on the rocks.
On your return to the pier, you’ll also pass the home port of the Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club, in Långedrag.
