When you arrive in the medieval walled city of Spain’s Tui, you’ll get superb views high above the Miño River, on the Portuguese border. You’ll call into the grand 12th-century cathedral, stroll through Old Town and stop in the pretty Parador hotel for a drink and snacks. Then hop on a trolley train and see more of Tui, before a scenic ride across the International Bridge to Valença Do Minho, in Portugal. After a short, guided walk along the 17th-century ramparts and quaint streets filled with gothic houses, you’ll have some free time explore and check out the local crafts.
