Shenandoah Farm Visit
Join your friendly Kiwi host, Simon, who will bring Shenandoah’s history to life with his passion, storytelling, and wealth of knowledge. Nestled in a wild birdlife reserve and overlooking shimmering Pauatahanui Inlet, this magical private farm comprises 12.5 acres of gentle rolling hills, landscaped gardens, and native wetland walkways. Originally a Maori Fortress, Shenandoah became a Crown Fort, and was commandeered into a US Marine training base during WW2. You can interact with farm animals, wildlife, and native birdlife, and wander through Simon’s private museum, which is brimming with artifacts dating back 150 years, including rare vintage Harley Davidson motorcycles.
