Big Bus and Stroll
Hop aboard the ‘Big Bus’ and allow your guide to show you some of the sights of Charlottetown. You’ll head along Peakes Quay, the historical waterfront area and through the residential and business areas of town. During your bus ride, learn of Charlottetown's origins and its growth into a prosperous community during the Victorian Era, and of the famous Conference of 1864 which gave the city its designation as the birthplace of Canada. To round off your tour, your guide will take you on a short stroll along the bustling Great George Street, passing by St Dunstan's Basilica and arriving at Province House, birthplace of the confederation. From here, you can take the short walk back to the ship with your guide. If you prefer, you may wish to remain in town for some independent exploration and make your own way back.
