The Best of Prince Edward Island
Your day begins in the capital of Charlottetown, where you’ll uncover the islands rich history as you journey along historic George Street to see the 19th century St. Dunstan’s Basilica and Province House National Historic Site.
Escape the city and into the sprawling countryside and enjoy a photo stop at the Front Range Lighthouse which offers views across to the Confederation Bridge.Next, venture to Gateway Village which portrays a turn of the century streetscape encompassing a pavilion and food and retail services. You’ll then continue along to one of Prince Edward Islands’ famous attractions, the red sandy beaches in the quaint fishing village of North Rustico. A short stop here will allow you to take picture perfect photos to capture your visit.
After a light lobster themed lunch, it’s time for a little nostalgia as you visit Green Gables House. The farmstead was the inspirational setting for L.M. Montgomery’s novels about a red headed orphan named Anne. There will be time to shop for Anne inspired souvenirs in the local gift shop before returning to the pier.
