This accessible experience will take you on a panoramic ride through Nova Scotia’s rugged coastal scenery, to the charming fishing village of Peggy’s Cove.
Your destination is Peggy’s Cove. Renowned for its iconic lighthouse rising up from a mass of boulders, it’s also a time-honoured inspiration for artists and photographers.
Your local guide will entertain you with tales and stories from the local area, and tell you all about the lighthouse, as you explore the lower cove. Keep an eye out for the beautiful granite sculpture, which depicts the lives of local people. It was created by William deGarthe,a former resident of Peggy’s Cove.
Afterwards, you’ll have some free time in the harbour to explore the colourful cottages, browse the shops, or simply relax with a coffee. Returning to the ship, your ride through Halifax will take you past many of the city’s important highlights.
